A thing is not a thing until you make it a thing

...if there is an idea that you are passionate about you need to pull the trigger and start working on it.

What makes an idea a thing? What breathes life into an idea giving it a form of its own?  We are all capable of making our ideas and dreams turn into a reality.  How can you focus the spark that zaps into an idea?  The problem we encounter when it comes to birthing our ideas into "things" is our self doubt tells us it must be an in-depth process.  What I have realized is the most important lesson to both creatives and small business owners is if there is an idea that you are passionate about you need to pull the trigger and start working on it.  A thing isn't a thing until you make it a thing.  All things don't need to be in line and organized to start somewhere. Use your creative energy and be brave-- just make a thing. Just starting on an idea or concept makes it a big deal.  It is an idea that is yours and you can start making moves towards your new endeavor.  There is so much power and motivation for continuing on your journey that you can get from literally just making decisions and moving forward with your ideas.

Sharon and I have recently started the Handmade Academy and it's the artists and supporters that will make it the next great thing! I feel passionately that if you have an idea or notion that has crept into your mind for that would be helpful for yourself or others it is your duty to bring this idea to fruition.

A thing isn't a thing until you make it a thing!

A melody isn't a song until you write it. A photo doesn't capture the emotion you are trying to portray until you shoot it. A group of people with common interests do not organize until someone asks to bring them together.  A new flavor or cuisine can't become your favorite until you taste it.
