Identifying your target customer and your business’ niche go hand in hand, so it’s no wonder that this replay of YHBTV intended for finding your niche wandered into target customer territory. But that’s okay, because knowing who your target customer is will inform what niche you’re actually serving, and vice versa. Sharon and I cover 5 specific points worth noting:

  • It’s okay for people to not like you

  • Sometimes it’s easier to start with you you’re NOT for or who you DON’T want to attract

  • Your ideal customer will be a hypothesis until you can prove otherwise

  • Look for overlaps in characteristics

  • Not every niche has to be super-niche
