Product & Design Roundtable: DTLA

So thrilled to have May's Product and Design Roundtable hosted at Meng & Mahar Studio! Our roundtables are a chance to connect with other makers and share what we are working on. It's a safe place to get feedback and explore ideas with people who understand. Plus some snacks and drinks.

Seating is VERY limited, so please make sure to RSVP on Facebook so we can get an accurate headcount. When you come into the lobby of the building just let the doorman know you're there to see Molly and Robert in suite 1112 - and then take the elevators up to the 11th floor.

Members: $3
Non-Members: $5

Molly Meng is an artist and teacher as well as designer and owner of the greeting card business 8mm Ideas.

Her work is inspired by ephemera of all sorts and the real or imagined history that exists within these random items. With vintage paper, old notes, random photographs and antique books she creates a fictional history to fit every emotion.

Her greeting card line, 8mm Ideas, can be found in shops around the world; while her one-of-a-kind mixed media collages are located in both shops and numerous private collections around the U.S. She also loves the smell of old books and can't turn down an estate sale!

Robert Mahar is a creative professional who teaches imaginative do-it-yourself projects through high-quality video tutorials on, and in-person workshops. He is the host of his own YouTube channel, Crafted, and one of the reoccurring marquee talent on the YouTube channel Kin Community. The crafty content he develops and presents on camera is often rooted in nostalgia, and his talent for reinventing old-school crafts with a decidedly modern twist has gained him a loyal following. A skilled web video producer and production designer specializing in lifestyle content, Robert has a knack for breaking down complicated content and presenting it in easy to understand, lovely to look at, bite-sized pieces that audiences embrace.
